Counselor-in-Training Program

Two-Week, Hands On Experience – Rising 11th Graders

The Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program gives our oldest campers the opportunity to learn what it takes to be a potential Cosby staff member – offering them hands-on leadership experiences shadowing our activities and counselors in a camper cabin. CITs will receive real-life practice in leading others and being a role model for younger campers with direct mentoring from their CIT Directors and Cosby Staff.

  2. Application Email – In November, registered CITs families will receive an email about the Teen CIT Application process. NOTE: The teen CIT Application is for teens to gain real-life practice skills applying for jobs in the future. This application process will NOT affect their registration/enrollment status for the program.
  3. Teen CIT Application – Teens complete the application and submit two references (teacher, coach, pastor, volunteer leader, etc.).
  4. Phone Interview – Once forms are received, the Associate Director will contact the CIT to schedule a 15-minute interview over the phone.
  5. Post Interview – Families and teens will receive upcoming info about the CIT Program leading up to Summer.
