100 Year Celebration - 1922-2022

Over the past 100 years, Camp Cosby has grown from serving 300 to almost 2000 campers each year! While much has changed and our camp population has grown, many of the traditions held dear have remained.

Thanks to some individual donors and grants over the course of the last 5 years, we have been able to prioritize much needed improvements and additions to provide enhanced activities, safer facilities and better accommodations.

As we look toward the future at YMCA Camp Cosby, there we anticipate even greater growth and improvements. Implementing the next phase requires a strategic vision as well as an array of resources to ensure this vision can be fulfilled.

YMCA CAMP COSBY ARCHIVES SITE

We have created a site for ALL Cosby Historical documents for our Alumni to access whenever you would like to bring back all the memories of Camp Cosby. This site is a work in progress. You will find an abundance of pictures and documents, but we want more. As you may notice once you start exploring, there are many gaps. We’d love to fill these. If you have any pictures or documents you’d like to share with us, we would love to add these to our archive folders. There are two ways you can share:

Email: cosbyalumni@ymcabham.org

Standard Mail: YMCA Camp Cosby, Attn: Alumni Association, 2290 Paul Bear Bryant Road, Alpine, AL 35014

Recognition: Thank you to Staci Sulhoff and Christine Bartell with the Alumni Association and Cosby Staff for helping collect our camp memories over the years so they can be shared. A special thanks to alumni, Erin Merifield for the years of work scanning in all our archives and creating this site so they are now electronic and can be shared and accessed anytime our Alumni want to relive their special memories of Camp Cosby.
